After Business a success

Our club hosted about 150 people at a Board of Trade After Business last week and the event was a great success.
Rotary Glen housed several displays that highlighted the activities of the club both here and abroad.
John Mullen manned a membership display, while several members were on hand at the community service display that detailed the breadth of club activities in the community.
Doug Leighton set up a number of easels with pictures of our project in Arusha and Norm and John were stationed at the comprehensice youth services display.
Bino prepared a great meal of roast beef with all the trimmings out on the patio to cap off a great summer evening.
Lots of people contributed to the success.
Thanks to John Mullen, Peter Ward, Wendell Brown, John Lomax and Norm Bindon, John Sanderson, Ed Boonstra, Jerome Dawson, Sheila Windsor, Al Heaney, Bill Charles, Doug Leighton, Daisy Oliver, Malcolm Slater and Rick Brown, who brought several heroes from St. Leonard's House. Also thanks to Scott Ching of Meri-Mac and Kiwanis fame for loaning us two large display pop-ups.
Several good contacts were made and hopefully they may develop as new members.
Clearly this is a good opportunity to spread the word about Rotary and we will look forward to doing it again next year.
