A passion for Brampton
Posted by Rita Gayle
John has always had the feeling that one can always have an impact on the place where he lives; his passions are art, community and family. He needs us to help to create a vision for our city. We have a struggle to see who we are. Real or not, when we read bad statistics, it doesn’t make us proud. We have an urgent passion to serve our community.
There is opportunity missed when we don’t use resources properly. We need to wake up and look at ourselves and ask, what do we want to be? We have to show the world that we are a great city. Today we have a problem. Take housing in Brampton, why is it 30% less than housing in Toronto. What can we do to get ourselves to the top?
Income per household in Brampton is number one in the country. We are one of the top 12 cities to live in. Where are we going in the future? Something has to be changed. We are looking at a baseball stadium in Roselea Park and are going before Council on May 9th. Come and support us if you think this is a good thing to do.
John Digby thanked John for taking the time to speak to us.
