$20,000 for Tour for Kids

Bill Charles presented a cheque for $20,000 to Louisa Cantelon, from Tours for Kids. This cheque represents the proceeds of this year's Rib n Roll.

Louise expressed thanks noting that these funds will help send 3,700 children battling cancer to summer camps in Ontario. Since there is no government funding for this, the camp program is dependent on the generosity from the community. Louisa committed to working in partnership with RC Brampton for the upcoming event.

President Jim noted that Tours for Kids assisted with lining up a band with one member battling cancer, which made the event much more significant. Funds from the 2009 Rib n Roll are designated again for this charity.
