Community committee activities for the October-December 2023 quarter
We are engaged in supporting WERN in the collection, refurbishment and distribution of furniture and whitegoods for people in need in our local community. Two of our members also serve on the WERN board.
We held a men's health forum at Chirnside Park, Werribee on 25 September which was attended by the Werribee and Wyndham Harbour Rotary clubs and members of the public. Speakers in the fields of prostate, heart and mental health addressed the forum and provided well received advice. Future forums are planned.
We have funded gift vouchers that were given to Uniting Wyndham for distribution to needy families in the community during the festive season.
We are establishing a visitation and BBQ program for residents of Manor Court Aged Care. We also plan to create a vegetable garden for the residents' use.
