President Pam Cress (left) and District Governor Jerri Anderson (center) introduced our club’s latest Paul Harris Fellow at our August 10, noon meeting:

“Today we recognize a member who first encountered this Rotary Club while working and serving the lunch meetings when they were held at the Elks Lodge. She was impressed with the magnitude of the projects undertaken and the mission of community service. She knew then that she would love to be a part of the organization! However, it took an invitation from Adele Goss who she knew through activities at the Chamber of Commerce to get her a seat at the table instead of being the one cleaning it up. After joining in June of 2005, she has been an active member and supporter of Rotary and, today, she is a board member and will eventually be your club President! Born and raised in Walla Walla, she began training in her career nearly 50 years ago at the Mr. Charles College of Beauty. Many of you in this room have benefited in visits to her salon, ‘Impress.’ If you golf, you probably have also encountered her husband Gregg of 36 years. Meanwhile their daughter lives in Seattle with her husband. Rotary. Career. Family. And a brand new Paul Harris Fellow. Congratulations Jan Corn!”
