Donny Veverka, a.k.a. Don, became the first member to join our Rotary family through an on-line virtual meeting April 2, 2020. He was sponsored by John Cress.

Don is a graduate of then Walla Walla College, and spent a few years in Colorado as a youth Pastor. Moving back to Walla Walla he eventually became the recruitment director for Walla Walla University and achieved the school’s fourth highest enrollment in its history.

While at the University Don participated in many programs, ministries, and service projects. His favorites were, acting as a mentor for a student lead worship service known as The Awakening, sponsoring an annual service project in Uruapan, Mexico just south of Ensenada, and helping facilitate seminars for young adults looking for guidance in the areas of dating and relationships, as well as newly engaged couples.
