Rotarian Ned Morris, recently returned from a ShelterBox deployment to the Caribbean, is holding a bottle of Pusser’s Rum, bottled exclusively for Pusser’s Rum in the British Virgin Islands. It is the original Admiralty Rum of the Royal Navy. When visiting the Rotary club of Tortola, guest speakers get a bottle of this rum as a gift. They are challenged to take it back to their home club and auction it off to the highest bidder (or bidding group). The money then goes to the charity of the presenter. This has been going on for years now, and the rums have historically sold for around $100. But, for bragging rights, the club that has won the most was a club in Norway that sold it to a group of bidders for $2,300 USD.

So come all ye merry bidders at Rotary Club of Walla Walla Aloha Fundraiser April 14, 2018. Proceeds from the auction of this bottle of rum will go to ShelterBox which is helping desperate families recover from natural disasters throughout the world.
