Happy New Year!

As we look back at 2019, there are many amazing accomplishments that the Comstock Park Rotary Club can celebrate. Our hands have done good work in serving others. Looking forward to 2020, a New Year, a new decade even, there is also a renewed sense of hope.

How can we make sure we are serving others over self? I am so proud of the service projects that we've committed to in the New Year. January is off to a great start as we prepare to help Feeding America. There are also already plans underway for us to help Hand 2 Hand in the upcoming year. I am filled with joy that we are helping these organizations not only monetarily, but also contributing hard work and effort to their causes by volunteering our time.

January also marks the 66th anniversary of Comstock Park Rotary Club. How awesome to be doing good work in our community for 66 years! This is something to celebrate.

Feeding America - West Michigan

Feeding America - West Michigan serves 40 of Michigan's 83 counties by gathering and distributing food to relieve hunger and increase food security. The CP Rotary has been partnering with Feeding America - West Michigan for several years with service projects. In the past we've helped with items such as potato sorting and bean bagging/weighing.

Help is needed to sort food at Feeding America - West Michigan.

**Thursday, January 16 from 1-4 pm, meet at Feeding America - West Michigan 864 West River Center Drive, Comstock Park, MI 49321, lunch first at Swan Inn.

Club Administration Corner

The Board of the Comstock Park Rotary is recommending a change in its bylaws.

The following change in the Bylaws is proposed:

Article 2 Board

Section 1 --The governing body of this Club shall be the Board of Directors, consisting of five (5) members of this Club, namely, President, President-Elect, Past President, and two (2) Directors

Current Bylaws read:

Section 1 --The governing body of this Club shall be the Board of Directors, consisting of five (5) members of this Club, namely, President, President-Elect, and three (3) Directors

This will be put to a vote at the January 9^th General Membership Meeting.
