Hello fellow Rotarians!
I miss you all - I know I've said this before, but I really do! I just want to thank you all for continuing to do the work of Rotary by donating to Feeding America and distributing masks to those in the community who really need the support. Our community is very thankful for the good work that you are each doing. Continue to do good work! Hope to see you all very soon.

With love,
Cindy

COVID-19 and Rotary
Comstock Park Rotary purchased 2,700 masks that are being distributed in our local communities. Some of the recipients of the donated masks include: Plainfield Township, WWW-YMCA, Alpine Fire Department, WalMart, Sanctuary of St. Mary's Senior Living Center, DKM, McDonalds Alpine, Beuschel's Funeral Home, Bauble Patch, Amore, Vista Springs Nursing Home, Boulder Creek Nursing Home, Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, and Feeding America. The recipients of the masks deeply express their appreciation to CP Rotary for their generous support during this difficult time.

Due to the dire need for food in our area, Comstock Park Rotary also contributed $4,000 as a donation to Feeding America to help those in our communities who are in need.

Things you can do as a Rotarian during the COVID-19 Pandemic:

-Check on neighbors and relatives
-Check on elderly acquaintances and offer to help with shopping
-Get creative on staying in contact with people while maintaining social distancing

The best prevention for viruses, such as influenza, the common cold or COVID-19 is to:

  • If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19, call your health care provider. If you do not have a health care provider, call the nearest hospital.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or upper sleeve when coughing or sneezing.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • If you are sick, stay home, and avoid contact with others.
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from others when in a public setting.
Comstock Park Rotary Club donated 2,700 masks to distribute in our local communities.
