One month of 2020 is already gone. Time is flying by! At this time, I want to thank Greg Madura for taking on the task of President Elect.
I think of February as a month to show love. How are we as a Club doing that? Our Hand to Hand project is the first week of February and I feel that this is a labor of love. I am privileged to see some of the results of the Hand to Hand program, and it is heart warming!
I hope you will all take extra time to show those you love just how much they mean to you. I am so grateful for all of you and all you do. I also want to tell each and every one of you how much you mean to me.

Hand2Hand
Currently, over 80,000 kids in West Michigan receive free and reduced lunch at school 5 days a week. They do not get this free and reduced lunch on the weekend. During this 68 hours at home, these students run risk of having little to no food.
According to their website, "Hand2Hand exists to eliminate that 68 hour gap so every kid has an opportunity to thrive. Currently, Hand2Hand is serving over 7,500 students in 200 schools, ages 3-18, in 8 counties in West Michigan."
Hand2Hand works to eliminate the gap in nutrition by utilizing schools, churches, businesses and individuals to provide backpacks of food for over the weekend for these students.
The CP Rotary has been partnering with Hand2Hand at Plainfield Christian Church to sponsor youth in Comstock Park who are in need. This month, in addition to monetary support, we will be providing support in packing these backpacks.
