Jo Clarke reports:

As you may remember from my brief chat on Wednesday at Rotary, this week I caught up with IBE from 2013/14 Marc Reusser from Switzerland. (Marc lived with us for 3 months and we had a lovely 2.5 hour lunch catching up on his life since exchange).

After returning to Switzerland Marc completed 2 years of school, prior to having a gap year which included Military service and part-time work.
Then in 2017 it was time for university in which he completed a Bachelor of Environmental Science.  In 2020 he started his Masters, and continued his part-time work as a bike messenger, a role deemed essential during Covid shutdowns.  He worked two days a week, 10 hours a day riding up to 150km a day during that time.

He finished his Masters in 2023 and then did a 6 month thesis and internship.

He has just spent 3 months in a van with 4 mates travelling and skiing in Japan before heading to Australia for a month before returning home to Switzerland.

Marc has secured a research position at the place where he did his internship and hopes to complete his PHD.

Marc still loves the outdoors and extreme sports, skiing, mountain climbing, paragliding etc.  He is making the most of his time here catching up with mates, travelling, surfing etc.

Anyway, just thought a little bio on Marc might give you an extra bit for the Breeze?  I have included a couple of photos from 2014 when Marc played footy with Brigades, as well as a couple from this week.
