Di reported -Radio Auction Sunday 5 th November - Update 13/9/23
We are currently $4,000 down on last year’s item tally.
COUNT DOWN - Cut off is in 5 weeks!
Following a meeting with Kick Solutions yesterday –
What we would like from Members
Following President Geoff’s request for three pledges per member to Grow the Auction only three members have come forward. As always, the more effort that goes into getting pledges the more successful “our” Auction is, resulting in our Rotary club being able to assist more local organisations.
Please study the list and think of Businesses that are not on the list [imperative we do not double up]
Thinking outside the square
Who do you come across on a weekly basis
What type of business’ are missing that would appeal to people
It could mean picking up a well priced gift item or a holiday
How it works
To assist with seeking pledges, we suggest you point out that their Business gets some advertising value as the item and their business name appears on our Facebook page and A3 four page Lift Out – Large donations $600 upwards will appear as MAJOR / ALL DAY AUCTION ITEMS in the A3 Guardian Lift Out.
Businesses are mentioned on the Radio on the day of the auction and the winning bidder collects it from the business that donated it, thus a bit of walk-in customer.
You can also take the opportunity to advise the business owner that the majority of the funds raised go back into the local community. “See attached sheet”.
Week Prior to the auction we will need assistance in picking up items from the Rotary containers to be taken to Telstra house [Requires at least two utes or one ute and one trailer] and then set up in place ready for Auction day.(same applies for return)
Would love some takers in advance – Please see Bob Symington.
Auction Day
Members to join and assist either with manning the phones or assisting with other tasks. It is a very enjoyable days activity. At the completion of Auction its always a rush so all hands-on deck required to pack up all items for return to the Sea containers.
More info closer to the day
