Invocation and Toast Don Rolston. Don also included a lovely tribute to the HMAS Sydney Memorial, a world class site and a great Rotary initiative.

Thought for the day Geoff Wood. Definition of useless? The US spent trillions of dollars and went through four Presidents while replacing the Taliban in Afghanistan with the Taliban in Afghanistan..

Annual General Meeting

It was confirmed that a quorum was present - 22/41 members i.e 50+%

The meeting proceeded and closed with calls for a Forum to further discuss the merging process and need for Members to consider serving the Club on the Board of Directors

Raffle and Rotary Corner with Kevin Green

Kevin had Jo Clarke expound on our commitment to the Rotary Shelterbox project. Our club donated $2,000 to Shelterbox. This money will be matched by RI. Individual members also made personal contributions.

The raffle was won by Clare McElhinney with 5 of Spades.

Kevin also suggested we make a presentation to the Geraldton Police. All were in favour and Geoff Wood has provided the following update-

"Just letting you know, that following this morning's meeting I went to Geraldton Fruit and Veg and ordered a fruit selection to the value of $500 as a "thank you" to our local police.

They were overwhelmed with the gift and could not thank us enough.

I have a photo with the Officer in Charge, Chris Martin, but my IT skills are so below par (Ed.)that I will need assistance from my family to forward it on.

Nina Priolo from GF&V also contributed $50 to the gift and was fantastic with her assistance.

Thanks Kevin Green for your suggestion. It was greatly appreciated."
