President Geoff Wood asks for assistance to remove Rotary paraphernalia from Geraldton Club. All hands on deck this Saturday at 9.30am.
Geoff also indicates he will be away from 6th to 20th of October and requests we hold our Club Meeting scheduled for 18th October over to November.
Reports
Bob Symington says MidWest Development Commission have borrowed our panels and want to return them tomorrow morning. Can someone help with the return of the panels to our seacontainer. Geoff Wood says he is available.
Geoff Wood gives update on B4H bikes to Timor Leste. The seacontainer of bikes has been transported to Fremantle courtesy of Phil Martin. They will be shipped to Singapore and then Dili. Expected arrival time end of October. Furthermore Peter Moore from B4H has donated six bikes to the Rotary Radio Auction.
Geoff Wood met with Joanne Fabling from Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has indicated that MWCCI will put details of our Rotary Youth Leadership Australia programme in their newsletter.
Geoff Wood reminded us that Rotary International convention is in Singapore next year (May). Some from RCGG had indicated their intention to attend. Who else interested? Get on the internet to guarantee accommodation.
Laurie Dines gives update on our IBEX Hannah Lind. On school holidays Hannah is down in Perth and Mandurah with other Rotarians. Host parent Laurie says Hannah is very independent and always looking for something to do. She will be doing Outward Bound programme at Geraldton Grammar.
Grant Woodhams met with Natalie Nelmes and Natasha Colliver from Geraldton University Centre to discuss our financial support for the Hollomby Foundation which provides scholarships to GUC students. Laurie Dines is organising for Natalie and the current RCGG scholarship recipient to be guest speakers at our club.
Grant Woodhams (Sec RCGG) has received an application for funds from Mid West Multicultural Association. This will be passed on to Geoff Wood, Jim Dillon, Karen Godfrey and Clare McElhinney for decision.

Remarks on the positivity of having Rotary Youth Exchange up and running again, post Covid19. It is important that we get the right demographics in our club to provide suitable host parents.
