Meeting June 12, 2024
Welcomed by PP Jo in the absence of our unwell Pres Geoff.
Invocation by Terry followed by welcoming of guests, Dave Stuart, visiting Rotarian from Cooper RC in Scotland, as well as Zane D’Mello, Bob Hall, exchange student Hanna and our guest speaker, Honorary Rotarian Peter Moore. (Oops! Someone in the chair forgot Dean!!)
PP, PDG and (Now President Elect!) Hugh thanked everybody for their support while being a helper for his daughter, Carolyn, with his 3 grandies down south the last few years. He was very appreciative of the effort of the club to keep him in touch through Zoom.
Hanna (Norway)had a quieter week, with school, a movie and the rain! She was for a while apprenticed to Phil as a boat builder, apparently! The surfboard is still up for sale, $600!
For Raffle &Rotary Corner, Bob Mosel reflected on some of the major projects undertaken by the Geraldton and Geraldton-Greenough Clubs over the years, encouraging us, in our new combined club, to look for and get behind future projects.
