Guest Speaker - October 11thSteve Post is introduced by Terry Stewart
Policing in the MW and Gascoyne – Steve is the local Superindendent of Police and has been in Geraldton for 18 months. He has been a member of WAPOL for 38 years. He spent 25 years as a detective. He was previously the Head of the WA Police Academy and headed up WAPOL's Covid response. He grew up in Northam.
His emphasis is 'make a difference' and a couple of good MW & Gascoyne examples are the liquor restrictions imposed in Carnarvon and the response to rock throwing in Geraldton.
Questions:
Viki Fennell declining respect for elders in indigenous communities.
Kevin Green and morale in the Police Force.
Laurie Dines alcohol restrictions and whether we are collecting empirical evidence to support them.
Vote of thanks by Rob Mosel.
