Over the last two years, Covid-19 has changed our behaviours and our communities on a global scale.  Moving into this next Rotary year, we are in for more change, with the upcoming merger of our Club with the Rotary Club of Geraldton.  It will be a period of adjustment as we learn to meld together not only our membership, but our projects, ideas and goals, all the while maintaining the important history of each club.  Together, I strongly believe we can achieve great things. 
 
 

In a first for Rotary International, the RI President is Jennifer Jones, the first female to hold the role since Rotary’s beginning in 1905.  The theme for 2022/23 is Imagine Rotary and Jennifer urges us to “Imagine, a world that deserves our best”. 

My hope during my year is to focus on unity between the two merging Clubs, to build a vibrant club that fosters belonging, diversity, compassion and fun so that together we can strengthen the bonds between ourselves and our community and continue to “give our best”. 

The new Board of the Rotary Club of Greater Geraldton

With our Changeover night on July 2, The Rotary Club of Geraldton and the Rotary Club of Geraldton Greenough officially merged to become the Rotary Club of Greater Geraldton!

In so doing we farewell Presidents Tom Maina (RC of GG) and Karen Godfrey (RC of G) and welcomed Charter President of the new Rotary Club of Greater Geraldton, Jo Clarke, albeit virtually on her part thanks to Covid protocols!

With the new RC of Greater Geraldton we will be transitioning to a new news letter format which you will se preview soon.
