Superior High School Student Nathaniel Furey is the recipient of Superior Rotary's 4 Way Test Essay Scholarship this year.  In his essay Nathan discusses the impact thoughts, words and actions have on our lives and the lives of others.  

Rotarians celebrated Earth Day with their Osagie Trail cleanup with a chill in the air.   The Superior Rotary has adopted a section of the Osagie Trail and Girl Scout Point in Billings Park. Thank you to the Rotary members and family members who braved the cold to brighten up the city trail and park.  

In April members of the Rotary Club of Superior traveled to Superior Days in Madison.  While there they promoted the 2024 Dragon Boat Festival which will be held August 23-24.  Pictured here are Linda Cadotte, Kelly Peterson, Jim Ceasar and Taylor Pedersen drumming up excitement for the Festival.

Sara Kroeplin,  a Superior Sister City Commission (SSCC)  Chaperone and her son, Eli Kroeplin, one of the student delegates accepted  a check from club President Sue Heskin and Bob McClellan.  Sara and Eli will travel to  Ami-machi, Japan this summer with SSCC.   

Rotary Club of Superior has funded the following requests:  St. Louis River Quest, Superior Public Museums, free Easter event, Superior Sister City Commission, City of Superior Parks, Rec, & Forestry Dept.  To make a request for funding click here and you will be directed to the application.  All applications are reviewed by the Charitable Giving Committee.   

Jaclyn Samarziya & Rosemary Huber were the Student Rotarians for March.  We are always glad to welcome students to our club.  

The Historic Post Office is the new home for the Rotary Club of Superior.  Club meetings and committee meetings are being held there on Wednesdays at noon.  See the schedule for details on meetings.

Awards were presented to Superior Rotarians at the Change of Officers Dinner on June 28, 2023. 

As the new Rotary year begins Sue Heskin takes the Presidential gavel.  Marquise Slay takes his role as Past President.  We look forward to the new year with Sue as our leader.  

Rotary Club of Superior's long time Secretary, Pat Pluntz, was recognized for her long term secretarial service to the club.  

At the June meeting of the Charitable Giving Committee funding requests totaling $2,800 were approved.  Organizations that  will receive money include:  Reclaim Recovery and 23rd Veteran.   

While in Ireland Tyler Elm visited a Rotary Club in Belfast.  He exchanged banners with the club and presented this banner to our club.

It may not feel like boating weather now, but the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Committee is gearing up for the August 25-26 Festival.
