Standing Meeting with a Guest Speaker

During our fellowship, we arehonored to have Mr. Joe Burnsworth as our guestspeaker. Joe Burnsworth is the President of both the Governing and Foundation Boards at Virginia's first public charter school, Green Run Collegiate. Joe Burnsworth moved to Virginia Beach in 1978 to begin a career as a theatre arts educator at Princess Anne H.S.  He retired forty years later having also served as a gifted resource teacher, the Director of Gifted Programs, principal at Kemps Landing Magnet School, and Corporate Landing and Plaza Middle Schools.  Since his retirement, Joe spends his time working as an adjunct instructor at Old Dominion University and volunteering as a member of the Virginia Beach Human Rights Commission.
