Rotary Supporting My Home – Project Update
Interest in the Rotary Supporting My Home Project continues to grow with nineteen clubs supporting the project, including three in District 9465. A big thank you goes to the seven Clubs that have made commitments to fund the project, these being Applecross, Crawley, Dalkeith, Kalamunda, Karrinyup, Matilda Bay, Osborne Park, and Subiaco. We have also received a District Grant of $5,000.
A total of $41,490 has been committed for this year’s houses, with a further $20,000 committed for future years. We are still a long way from our initial target of $95,000 to enable us to furnish the North Fremantle houses, so please contact us if your Club has not yet advised us of their contribution target. Kay has also secured a donor for the linen in addition to the crockery previously advised, which will all help to keep the costs down.
An excellent website for the My Home project has been built by Glenn Nicholas of City Rotary which has just been signed off by both parties and is now live at https://myhomehousing.org.au. The website includes a page covering Rotary’s contribution to the project.
