Ian MacLeod worked for the Western Australian Museum, Government of Western Australia for 38 years before taking a redundancy package. In 2016 he established Heritage Conservation Solutions, a consultancy business specializing in the decay of materials, conservation of collections and site management of land and submerged sites. He provides answers to issues in collection management over a wide range of inorganic and organic media.
