Greetings dear KGM Members,

We are now into the last quarter of the Rotary Year as we welcome April, a month dedicated to Maternal and Child Health in Rotary. This is a very important topic and probably the bedrock of our civilization. The importance of our collective efforts in creating healthier and stronger communities cannot be over emphasized and the focus aligns perfectly with Rotary's commitment to service and making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Maternal and child health is not just about providing care; it's about empowering families with the resources, education, and opportunities to thrive. We have the power to transform lives with our partnerships and projects we undertake and I encourage you all to actively participate in our global initiatives and our local projects here in Hong Kong. Let us renew our pledge to "Service Above Self" and explore innovative ways to address challenges and embrace new opportunities.

The EGM for approval of the Accounts for last Rotary year and approval of minutes of last AGM in December was successfully held on 26^th March and I thank all members for attending this important meeting.

I visited the Rotary Club of Cebu on 3^rd April and met their President Mr Shigejiro Onda and some members. They are a 93 yr old club and have 78 members and I am always amazed by the fact that there are so many clubs much older than us and thriving very well almost a century later. It truly shows the powerful impact that Rotarians can make collectively and we should all take pride in what we have achieved thus far and be passionate about what we can do in future. 

Next month is going to be a very busy month for our club with two Flagship events, The Vocational Service Awards Night on 7^th May and the Annual Ball on 31^st May. I urge all members to attend both events with your families and friends and ensure their continued success. This is that time of the year when your active and full participation is not only requested but also expected if we want our club to make a huge and positive impact in the community. I look forward to each one of us stepping up to our responsibilities and commitments.
