Greetings dear KGM Members,

As we have entered the first month of 2025, this is a time to reflect on all the good things that we have managed to do in the year of 2024. 

The first half of the year was impeccably piloted by IPP Richard where we had great events like the Handbag auction in January, the Annual ball in May, the District Conference in HK and the RI Convention in Singapore.   

Taking over in July, over the next 5 months we have had our usual flagship events, the Feed Elderly at Kwai Chung and the Elderly medical check-up at Yau Ma Tei, and also managed to hold the charity Bazaar at the Kai Fong Hall in TST.
This was a great effort by PE Deven and the team and our guests from RC Port of Townsville participated in the activities with great gusto!

The sister club agreement with the Rotary Club of Port of Townsville was finally signed on 13^th November 2024 in a ceremony that was well attended by members.
We also had the pleasure of meeting RI International President Stephanie Urchik at the Intercity meeting as well as the One Humanitarian Awards Gala dinner last month.

We are also one of the sponsors of the CPR/AED Education project which aims to teach these essential life-saving skills to members.
I personally feel that this is a skill that all our members should learn as it could help save the lives of others in critical times. Will arrange a suitable date for this training in early 2025.

The AGM was held successfully on 4^th December and my thanks to all members who could take time off to attend. We also held our Christmas party at the KCC and had good attendance from members and guests.
Plenty of good food, music, wine, and dancing by the poolside. It was an evening of great fun and the feedback of the event was fantastic! 

Our last event for the year was the Feed Elderly at Kwai Chung on 28^th December before we headed off to ring in the New Year!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my Rotarian family for their great and invaluable support to me, for accepting and backing the changes that I have tried to bring in, and to the Board for their trust in me.
I am excited about this new year and looking forward to doing greater community service with all of you.
