2023 Deep Cove Working Bee

The first "service above self" community project for 2023 will the Deep Cove Working bee (January 21 and 22, 2023).
A group is required to assist the Deep Cove Outdoor Education Trust with tasks to tidy up before the schools start visiting.
Transport to and from the Deep Cove Hostel will be arranged by boat from to Pearl Harbour - Manapouri and then by bus through the pass.
Working Bee tasks may include:
- painting
- water blasting
- track clearing/maintenance
- clearing rubbish in the bush
- gardening around site and spout cleaning.
Need to bring your own:
- Sleeping bags / pillowcase
- towels
- Insect repellent
Other information that maybe of interest is:
- Food is arranged / taken in for full group with meals prepared in fully equipped kitchen
- Meal prep, cooking, cleaning all shared amongst group
- Dietary requirements such as dairy and gluten free and vegetarian can be catered for.
- There is no rubbish facility - what is taken in, must be taken back out.
- Water is all drinkable
- There is no cellphone coverage at Hostel
- There are sandflies, lots of !
