Mijan von Spronk was our guest speaker. Mijan is the Manager of the Salvation Army Store in Milton and she spoke with a great deal of enthusiasm and knowledge. Her background is an interesting one coming from a variety of occupations. Mijan outlined how the Salvation Army makes funds from the sale of goods from these stores to fund the large range of services and programmes it provides to people in all walks of life. The store provides a valuable service to the people of South Otago and Mijan is obviously a very good manager.
