2 Minute Talk- Kim Schiller and Stephen Woodhead. An update on the Milton swimming pool and Library facility
- Consultation 2018 – Options: repair old pool, build new pool and new library, build combined facility. Community voted in favour of option three.
- Council asked for volunteers to lead community engagement and fundraising - formation of BCFT.
- The BCFT surveyed and had many conversations with the community members, stakeholders and students to get feedback, ideas and direction.
- The BCFT worked with Council and Calder Stewart in the initial design process to ensure as many of the community wishes as possible could be incorporated. Two options were arrived at.
- Second Consultation 2022 – Community voted in favour of Library and 6-Lane Pool Facility at an estimated cost of $13-14 million. Council approved the progression of the project
