Peter informed us he has been in Rotary for 47 years. Rotary for much of that time meet weekly and once a month there were fire side meetings with the various committees. The bulletin needed to go out early enough each week for members to receive it on time. This involved typing it up then getting it printed before posting. Certainly more pressure than today.
