Sunrise Heart Kids Bingo Ride Team

This invitation is going out to any Sunrise Rotary members that have shown any interest in cycling.

The Heart Kids Bingo Ride is a fundraiser for Heart Kids Southland.  It is a nine hour endurance relay ride at Teretonga on 23 November 2019 for people of ALL abilities to participate.  Teams of up to 6 people complete laps of the track with the idea to have at least one team member from each team on the track at all times during the 9 hours.  Nine hours has been chosen as it is the average length of a surgery for the kids with heart conditions.

Teams can have caravans, tents, marquees and as many supporters as they would like as it will be a fun day with live music, food and activities throughout the day.  Entry fee is only $40 per team member although it is a fundraiser so additional fundraising is highly encouraged.

The bingo aspect of the ride is the number card that each team will receive with achieveable target numbers relating to Heart kids.  Teams get these numbers marked off during the day and when complete it puts the team into the draw for some fantastic spot prizes.

And for those of you considering doing the Rotary/Hospice Te Anau to Invercargill ride in February this would be an excellent way to kickstart your training, and there are no hills!

I'm sure with the number of active people in Sunrise we can enter at least 1 team.  If I get names quickly I will challenge the other Invercargill clubs to get involved.

We also need a volunteer to be team captain!
