John MacFarlane gave our invocation, a wonderful Celtic blessing with St. Patrick's Day fast approaching. It is worth repeating: May love and laughter light your days and warm your heart and home May good and faithful friends be yours where ever you may roam May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures May all life's passing seasons bring the best to you and yours Guest Matt Schroeder was welcomed (he even helped set up), as was Ann Lundeen. Joining us virtually with Steve Andrews was Bob Williams, a former member and past president of our club. President Ken presented The Daily Journal's Citizen of the Year Award to Buzz and Ann -- richly deserved! Ken also expressed our sympathies to Brian Tjaden upon the passing of his mother. Attending virtually and having trouble with that, this writer did not hear all the brags but has been able to reconstruct most with the help of some of those that contributed to our coffers. Wally Cole led off putting in a dollar he did not have the prior week to celebrate the birth of his step-grandson and also a scooter buck as he was leaving the meeting a little early to head to St. Paul to attend last Thursday's Chiropractors' Day at the Capital. If anyone needs an adjustment, it's our legislators -- too far left or right in this writer's opinion. Buzz Lundeen appreciated his and Ann's recognition. I could not hear Randy Kempfer's brag but Kathy Austvold was back from what sounded like an amazing excursion to Asia, albeit returning with a stomach bug; Kathy was glad she made it safely home, as are we. John MacFarlane thanked Keith Olson for covering the invocation the prior week and congratulated the Lundeens for their award. Steve Andrews said he received a new hip the prior Monday and Bob Williams was helping out while staying with him during Bob's visit. As our program, club members were then given cards to write thank you notes to our veterans or their families. We will have to ask Zack how many we ended up doing.
