Rotary clubs all over the world marked World Polio Day with a variety of events focusing on the history of the disease and achievements of Rotary International in fighting the paralyzing infection. The celebration of World Polio Day continues throughout this week in various Rotary districts and clubs around the globe where the emphasis will be placed on the total eradication of Poliomyelitis from the planet. One way some clubs are doing this is by financial contributions. Since 1985, Rotary International, through The Rotary Foundation, has contributed more than $2.2 billion to ending polio. Rotary District 5680 in its own case, has wrapped up their 2020-2021 fundraising campaign this summer with a total financial impact of $528,084 with all matches.
