During the meeting on the 14th, Bob Russell thanked everyone who supported this year's Rose Sale, including those from our club who worked at Liquor Store West on November 8th (Dave Johnson, Jamie Larson, Hal Leland, Dave Peters and Pete Wasberg), the 28 members of our club who sold at least one dozen roses and, of those, the 14 members who sold at least 10 dozen, including Dean Bjorgum, Scott DeBrito, Ben Durbin, Ryan Welle, Bob Russell, David Lundeen, Mike Clark, Keith Olson, John MacFarlane, Mary Pettit, Buzz Lundeen, Dean Monke, Pete Wasberg and Lori Larson. The last five sold over 20 dozen while Lori was our top seller with 42 dozen. To honor these 14 individuals who went above and beyond, special never-to-be-forgotten gifts were handed out, including tape that was purchased at Sunmart several years ago when we were still protecting the roses by wrapping and taping tissue paper around them after putting a paper towel over the bottom of the stems to retain moisture. Since the tape never held the tissue very well, those who sold more roses received rolls of tape that had been used, so they will have less to use up. Also handed out were remaining paper towel rolls to those selling over 15 dozen. And Lori Larson received the travelling plaque acknowledging her for selling the most roses in 2018. There was much appreciation expressed for the prizes, to be cherished forever. See pictures below.
