For those who have tried to analyze the chess board on the right-hand side of the February Rotary magazine, I think the following eight moves by white and seven moves by black would result in the players ending up with the pieces positioned as they are on the board:
White moves pawn to e4; Black moves pawn to e5; White moves knight to c3; Black moves knight to f6; White moves bishop to c4; Black moves knight to b4; White moves pawn to d3; Black moves bishop to b4; White moves pawn to f4; Black castles on the short side; White moves knight to f3; Black captures pawn at f4; White captures pawn at f4; Black moves pawn to d5; White moves Queen to d2, leaving bishop at c4 unprotected
Blacks next move should be to capture bishop at c4 with pawn at e5
