Tomorrow we will start our meeting via Zoom at 11:50 to identify everyone in attendance and for any announcements. Then, at noon, everyone is asked to attend the District Conference presentation by Rotary International Director Stephanie Urchick, from McMurray, Pennsylvania, entitled "Using Rotary International's Strategic Priorities in Our Service to Change Lives." Stephanie is also a past Rotary Foundation Trustee, Past Chair of RI's Strategic Planning Committee and Past Chair of The Rotary Foundatin Centennial Celebration. To attend, one must first register for the District Conference, which is entirely free. It will take less than two minutes and, to register, go to www.bemidji2021.com. That will entitle you to attend all the events scheduled for the rest of the week. From 2:00 to 3:00 tomorrow afternoon there will be a presentation entitled "Build Your Economy by Making the Future Your Friend." The presenter is Dr. Jim Bensen, President Emeritus of Bemidji State University and a member of the Bemidji Rotary Club. His bio describes him as a "lifetime leader and entrepreneur in fostering change, innovation design and planning. He is also past president of the Dunwoody College of Technology and Dean of the College of Technology & Engineering at the University of Wisconsin - Stout. He describes himself as in a "dynamic retirement, working in 're-inventing' communities and pursuing excellence."
