From Afghanistan to New Zealand

The heart rending story of a child “Tampa” refugee who grew up in Aotearoa and is now a Fulbight scholar, highlighting the plight and potential of Refugees everywhere.

When the Taliban were at the height of their power in 2001, Abbas Nazari's parents were faced with a choice: stay and face persecution in their homeland, Afghanistan, or seek security for their young children elsewhere.

  1. Remember to contact Julian if you want to assist with the Wellington South Rotary beach clean-up on 30 October at Lyall Bay beach front as part of Keep NZ Beautiful Please Campaign.
