I’m a decisive strategic leader and was a CEO for the first time at 38. I’m driven by curiosity, and understanding what motivates people. I focus on people and intrinsic outcomes for uplift in business performance and results.

I have a broad background in governance, management, financial services and insurance including risk and compliance roles at multi billion dollar Funds.

I'm a former Chief Executive of the Institute of Directors where I adopted a new digital-led strategy, re-energising its Purpose and Mission. I chaired IoD's commercial organisation, developed the Chartered Membership Pathway and founded the IoD Governance Leadership Centre and created a strong national media presence for the IoD.

Reflecting my love of learning, my education is broad and ongoing. I am a qualified lawyer and Fellow of the Governance Institute. I'm a Chartered Company Secretary, RG146 qualified with a PGDip in business and B.A. I'm currently a board member of IQ Sentient and private trusts, former chair of Junk Free June and the Cancer Society of New Zealand Wellington.
