Our annual fundraising efforts with other Wellington Rotary Clubs to raise money to go to End Polio Now - Rotary International's global efforts to end Polio for good.

World Polio Day is on October 24th, and we will be holding our Bacon Buttie Stall at Wellington Train Station the following Thursday 26th.

We need support from volunteers with a range of activities to make the morning a success:

- Setting up the gazebo, tables, and BBQs

- Prepping food - buttering bread, cutting onions

- BBQing bacon

- Serving the public - taking money in exchange for fresh hot DELICIOUS butties

- Shaking buckets and drawing public attention - gathering donations from passers by who aren't hungry but still want to contribute

- Cleaning up and packing down at the end of the morning

Last year was an awesome success, and this year we hope to raise even more money to go towards vaccinations and surveillance efforts in those countries still affected by this awful disease. Our donation will be matched 2:1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, making this a very worthy cause to donate some time and effort to.

Please consider whether you can help on the day - donate some money or some time, by signing up to our schedule of volunteers.
