Hutt River Cycle Trail
Lower Hutt,
New Zealand
The Environment Committee is leading a task of clearing grass and weeds from around the shrubs and trees we have planted and maintained on the Hutt riverbank, at the commencement of Rimutaka cycle trail.. We want to get rid of the tall grass before it turns dry and provides a fire hazard to the planting. All club members and associated family welcome to make a short cheerful job.

What to bring- gloves grass clippers, secateurs,  rakes, and if you have one, a petrol or battery driven weed eater.

Directions - Head north on Harcourt Werry drive,  about 200 metres past the Percy Cameron drive turn off, where the road starts to curve right to join Taita drive, there is a gravel layby and track down to the left,  marked by a 30 k limit sign. Taking this tunout, our patch of trees about a couple hondred metres along by a carpark.
