How we support our communities
Rotary Club of Wellington has been, and continues to be, extensively involved in community and philanthropic activity in the Wellington region. Many of our members have become notable for their personal commitment to philanthropy with major contributions to the community.
Our major projects include Eureka!, Jumbo Tennis, Singers to listen for, RCW Akina Social Enterprise Awards, VUW Science Prizes and Forest at the Heart of Wellington. Our philanthropic entities are the Wellington Rotary Charitable Trust, the John Ilott Charitable Trust and the J R McKenzie Youth Education Fund. The links on the right go to the dedicated pages for the major projects, charitable Trusts and philanthropic entities operated under the auspices of RCW. Below are the latest posts from these pages and more.
It should be noted that rather than accepting applications from the public, our funds are directed to those community organisations and projects determined by the Club within the scope of the current Strategic Plan. The one exception to this is the John Ilott Charitable Trust.
