Spotting the need in local schools

Strong communities start with confident young readers. We have been actively consulting with local schools to identify exactly where support is needed most. We are currently rolling out a targeted reading mentorship programme to help students boost their literacy skills, build self-esteem, and unlock their full potential.

Empowering through literacy

We are a cause-based club dedicated to uplifting our community through the power of knowledge and skills. Our volunteers offer diverse expertise—from teaching foundational reading and math to helping with domestic skills, navigating government systems, and mastering job hunts. If you have a skill to share, we have a place for you to make an impact.

Fostering independence with Social Crust

We are proud to partner with Social Crust—the charity operating the Martinborough and Greytown Foodbanks. Together, we are building a programme to walk alongside foodbank clients, providing the tools, coaching, and advocacy needed to overcome obstacles and reclaim independence.

As a satellite club of the Rotary Club of Wellington, we enjoy the best of both worlds. We operate with complete independence to launch our own grassroots projects, while instantly benefiting from the trusted reputation, deep resources, and worldwide fellowship of the established Rotary network.
