Some Skyliners joined a crowd at Tavern on the Hill on Sunday to celebrate Traci Petrich's resilience in facing her ALS diagnosis. The Petrich peach haulers are all grown up.
April is Rotary International Environmental month. Zone 29 would like Clubs to do water related projects. ECO and Harbortown are doing a beach cleanup on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00-noon at Park Point (meeting at the shelter just west of the beach house). We can join them. We had a second misfire on our speaker, but a full discussion on scheduling upcoming projects. Jill Baum, District Environment Committee Chair and ECO Club member told us about plans for this Saturday's beach cleanup. Brad Jenson Past Skyliner and current President of Harbortown Club and Mark talked about their initiative called the Twin Ports Inter-Club Council. It is an effort to increase communication and cooperation between the Twin Ports Clubs. Our RYLA student, Alee DeVlieger, introduced herself. Emily walked us through scheduling projects working with the YMCA. The projects are now on our calendar.
The Depot Foundation Circle of Friends is celebrating their 25th Anniversary on Tuesday, May 12th at 5:00 to recognize their annual award winners. Sign up until Friday April 24th at Depotfoundation.org Skyline is recognized in their newsletter for supporting the Arts for All Scholarship.
