Speaker: Adele White, Chairperson Howick Local Board
Adele was born and educated in Howick. Her work history includes 33 years as a Police Officer – specialising in Youth Education - and being based mainly in the Howick area. She believes that it is this and 18 years experience as a Local Body politician, that has led her to being elected as Chairperson of the Howick Local Board in 2019. Adele is a registered marriage celebrant and is often seen officiating at local weddings and funerals. She has two grown up sons – one of whom lives in Vancouver, and the other who made her a grandmother in March last year. Recreationally, Adele enjoys the arts, cooking, the outdoors, and travel (which is currently just a dream.)
