Topic: Growing up in East Germany

"Growing up in Germany at an age where I was conscious about what’s happening around me, I want to provide a first-hand experience report about how I witnessed historic events, how I ended up under the “tender loving care” of the Russians, and why I was allowed to cross the border into West Germany at a time where a wall separated not only a nation, but especially families and friends."

Bio:
Mirko is a Financial Adviser helping clients with their Personal, General and Business Insurance needs. He has been in New Zealand since 2009, when he came to this place Far Far Away from his Home in Germany. Mirko holds a Master Degree in Interpersonal Communication, and undergraduate degrees in Financial Services and Business obtained from studies in New Zealand, Germany and United Arab Emirates. Mirko is a passionate Rotarian, eager to make a difference in other people’s lives and to learn something new every day. Family and friends are at the centre of his world, he loves to travel and he has a keen interest in art and automotives.
