Guest Speaker: Adele Hall.

Subject: An Update on the RYDA programme for schools in our area.

Adele is the new RYDA Programme Coordinator for Auckland/Northland. She comes from a sales, marketing and events background working across Tertiary, Media and Property fields.
RYDA (Rotary Youth Driver Awareness) is a Road Safety Program. It is more than just a program, it’s a partnership which supports teachers on the journey, as they provide their students with the tools and understanding they need to see themselves as active and responsible road citizens. Taking largely a student inquiry learning approach, RYDA becomes part of the school culture from the first to last day of a young person’s high school life. Beyond that, RYDA provides students with the tools, habits and motivation to take action and stay safe on our roads as both drivers and passengers throughout their lives.

RYDA is delivered to over 660 high schools throughout Australia and New Zealand, with an average of 40,000 students participating in the RYDA Program every year. So let's learn what effect it is having in the schools in our area.
