Weekly meeting – Tuesday 01/10/2019

Ross Bell

Executive Director

NZ Drug Foundation

The use of drugs – including tobacco and alcohol – can cause social, health, and economic harm to individuals, families, and communities. The NZ Drug Foundation has been involved in major alcohol and other drug policy debates for almost 30 years, advocating for policies and practices based on the best evidence available.

Ross has been leading the work of the Drug Foundation since 2004. He has been a member of the NZ delegation at United Nations drug talks in Vienna and New York, and regularly speaks at hui, community meetings, and conferences. Before taking up the position, Ross worked as a university researcher, a foreign affairs adviser, and a pizza delivery driver. He studied geography and Māori studies for a Bachelor of Arts before going on to complete an MA in Development Studies, both from the University of Auckland.

Please note:

Breakfast meeting registrations close at 11 a.m. on the Monday. For a short time after this, it may be possible to request changes via President Byran.

Failure to register your attendance can cause problems for Northern Club catering.
