Conference Program Outline:
Friday 10 May 2019
Conference Activities will begin on Friday with the District Governor's golf tournament at the Bridge Pa Golf club.
Also on Friday afternoon we have optional activities - A bike tour of 6 wineries organised by On-Yer-Bike (see below) or a guided Art Deco walk through Napier (see below).
Registration for the conference will open at 4:30 p.m. Friday and there is a cocktail party from 5:30 p.m.
The conference will be formally opened at 6:00 p.m. 
The cocktail function concludes at 7:30 at which time you can make your own arrangements for dinner.
Saturday 11 May 2019
Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. for those who didn't make it Friday night.
The conference opens at 8:45 a.m. and a program of entertaining, thought-provoking and inspirational speakers and projects will follow.
Lunch will be at 12:30 and the program for Saturday will conclude at 3:20 p.m. to allow the venue to setup for dinner.
On Saturday afternoon we will be offering the options of a wine tasting at the venue with a number of smaller Hawkes Bay wineries or a guided Art Deco walk through Napier.
Saturday night sees a gala dinner with a theme of Art Deco (no surprises there !!).  Entertainment will be provided by Stolen Records.

The Sunday program commences at 8:30 and includes more entertaining, thought-provoking and inspirational speakers and projects.
The conference will conclude at 12:30 and you are then free to return home or stay on to enjoy Napier and the surrounding countryside.

  • Dr Tom Mulholland - Dr Tom is an Emergency Department Doctor and GP with over 25 years’ experience in New Zealand. He has worked in Kaitaia Hospital in the North to Southland Hospital and the Sub Antarctic Islands as a doctor. He has worked in Tologa Bay, Chatham Islands, Papamoa in the east to Raglan, Taranaki and Greymouth in the west. He has hosted his own TV and Radio shows, written two internationally best-selling books and been a professional speaker to the likes of Google, Microsoft and Hilton for the last 10 years.
  • Dr Harold Hilman -After working in his early years as a clinical psychologist, Dr Hilman developed a passion for leadership development while teaching at the United States Air Force Academy.  His professional journey since then has led him down the path where he is actively exploring the domain of authentic leadership.  His two books have focused on what it means to lead others through authentic connections.  
  • Mike Williams - Mike is a former president of the Labour party and regularly appears on current affairs television in New Zealand.  Mike is chief executive of the Howard League whose programmes and objectives are aimed at reducing the prison population, reducing recidivism rates and helping reintegration of former prisoners into communities. 
  • Nigel Latta - Nigel trained as a Clinical Psychologist and worked for over two decades in the areas of forensic psychology and family therapy. In 2010, as a result of his passion for science and science education, Nigel was invited to become an associate of the world leading Multidisciplinary Health and Development Study at the University of Otago. In 2012 he was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to psychology.

    He’s written eight books which have now been published in 19 countries and 10 languages.
    His television career has spanned almost a decade and he’s presented a number of series including Beyond the DarklandsThe Politically Incorrect Parenting ShowOn Thin Ice: Nigel Latta in Antarctica, and The Hard Stuff. In 2016, along with Arwen O’Connor and Mitchell Hawkes he co-founded a production company, Ruckus, and the team have since made numerous primetime television series including Mind Over MoneyWhat Next, and The Curious Mind. In 2018 Ruckus was named New Zealand’s Hottest Production Company in the StopPress awards.

  • Janie Elrick - Janie loves adventure and is always planning her next one. She’s climbed Kilimanjaro, been trailing in the Yukon River and sailed her own yacht across the Atlantic.
    With a goal of completing a marathon on every continent, Janie has ticked Antarctica and two others off her list.  
    Janie brings her passion to her work and has held successful roles as CFO at leading New Zealand companies – Downer NZ, Steel & Tube, NZ Dairy, Synlait, Zespri, and LIC. Her contribution to the merger of several dairy companies to form what is now Fonterra Co-operative Group is a career highlight.  
    Janie is at a life crossroads, choosing to leave the corporate world and embark on the not yet chartered adventure of life after work.  She will share her experiences, her passion for adventure and her long held belief of ambitions without boundaries.
