Cosmetics Collection for Grace Foundation Week

Grace Foundation seeks to empower and assist marginalised members of our community to live healthy, sustainable lives. We reach out to people that are truly on the margins of New Zealand society who are unable to access the services and opportunities needed to get ahead in life. The homeless, single parents, children without parents and former prisoners are a few of the people we serve. We provide a holistic approach to healing. Body, Mind and Spirit. We do this by providing health services, education, healthy housing, life skills, fitness and employment training and placement.

The Parnell residence, in the old Strand Hotel, is Grace Foundation's latest edition. Offering a safe shelter and rehabilitation that helps to prepare women for reunification with their families and supporting sustainable lifestyle change.

Recently Parnell Rotary has sought ways in which we may be able to support people living in this local residence. The first project was to invite members to donate all sorts of toiletries they may have – unused and unwanted gifts, gifts with purchase etc. Our first delivery the Parnell residence brought sincere thanks from the programme manager and great joy to the recipients. This will be an ongoing project for Parnell Rotary, extending

the range of donated items as they identify their requirements.
