“Meet one of Ocean Racings Toughest Characters” – Josh Sampiero 2014
Breaking a rib would stop most people from starting the hardest sailing race, but not Tony Rae.
Tony Rae, also known as Trae, is a New Zealand sailor who has competed in the Volvo Ocean Race six times and the America's Cup seven times.
Tony will update members on the next New Zealand team headed by Bianca Cooke hoping to compete in the Ocean Race (formerly the Volvo Round the World Race) and cover off a few other tales of his life as a professional sailor.
Come along to hear from one of New Zealand's sailing legends. This will be the last evening meeting for the Club before Changeover.
