Terry Haus - United Way
Terry Haus from United Way expressed his honor and appreciation for the service groups like Rotary, Kiwanis, and JC’s that contribute to the community. He highlighted Poles N Holes as a favorite and emphasized the innovative spirit in Becker County. A community celebration at the Pavillion on September 18th is anticipated, and volunteers from DL Football cheerleaders and A Place to Belong have stepped up to assist. Terry met with Jill Walter, the new principal at DLHS, and was impressed with her. United Way raises approximately $230,000 to $260,000 annually and is involved in the Backpack program, partnering with an organization in Grand Forks to distribute prepackaged backpacks through the Becker County Food Pantry.
