Dog Days Racing - Beth & Paul Pridday
DL Breakfast Rotary’s 5/6/25 meeting featured speakers Beth and Paul Pridday. They discussed their Dog Days Racing, which can be followed on Facebook. Beth, from North Dakota, is currently the President of our local Kiwanis, while Paul, from British Columbia, Canada, is an oil and gas industry inspector. Beth and Paul have two dogs. Paul was introduced to racing at 11, when he got his first minibike, dreaming of a bigger and faster one. He met Beth in 1990, and she quickly became a racing enthusiast. In 1995, he started amateur racing, and in 1996, he transitioned to professional racing. They raced sprint races in Texas and Louisiana, and Paul’s dream of racing at Daytona at night came true. Four years ago, they participated in a two-day endurance race in Brainerd, where the driver can only be on the track for 2 hours at a time. They are currently about 12 hours away from being race-ready and plan to do four races this year, including a 24-hour race in Colorado. When asked about the cost of racing on weekends, they replied, “A lot.”
