Tuesday, July 28th found 40+ Central Lakes Rotarians and guests at Bites Restaurant in Pine River. It was an action packed evening!
MC Bob McLean asked Rotarians for memories of the past Rotary year and there were many memories and moments of pride for members of the club.  Bob proudly recapped the many awards received by the club and by individual members out of the 66 clubs and 3000+ Rotarians in our district.
Marilyn Hobbs had the pleasure of presenting several foundation awards:
New Paul Harris Fellows: Simon Goble, Rick Adams, Cindy Lianne.  Becoming a Paul Harris Fellow is a tremendous accomplishment and honor, as those contributions impact communities around the world.  In order to be honored as a Paul Harris Fellow a member must contribute at least $1,000 to the Foundation's annual fund, Polio Plus or an approved Foundation Grant.  These funds have distinguished our Rotary Foundation as an organization that provides hope, health and peace around the world.
Paul Harris + 1 saphire: Linda Marrin, incoming president is a dedicated supporter of the foundation.
Paul Harris + 3 saphires: Keith Simar and Dick Teegen.  They have made substantial contributions toward the goal of international understanding and peace.  In  doing so, they support and honor the humanitarian and educational programs of the Rotary Foundation that make a difference in the lives of others.
Paul Harris + 7: Marilyn Hobbs is awarded a 2 ruby pin in appreciation of her dedication to helping others less fortunate.  She is changing lives of children, young people and adults through a legacy of hope.
Diane Collins presented outgoing president Steve with a beautiful wooden desk box and the thanks of the club members.
Outgoing President Steve Hansen presented the Club President Pin to Incoming President Linda Marrin.  Linda's remarks echoed what other members said, our club is full of energized members who participate in community and world service in many ways.
A good time was had by all!
